Hey there! I’m Amy! Your Friendly, Compassionate Counsellor

With 13+ years of walking alongside amazing people—from teens to couples, families to individuals—I’m here to remind you: you’re not alone on this wild journey called life. I’m all
about creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and totally supported—because that’s where healing really begins.

My approach? Think of it like a smoothie made just for you:
At the base, there’s Person-Centered Therapy—that’s the heart of my work. Then, I sprinkle in some powerful tools like CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR through a traumainformed lens. No cookie-cutter stuff here — your story, your vibe, your pace.

Life’s a crazy balancing act (trust me, I know!). Whether you’re juggling all the hats or just feeling stuck trying to figure out what’s next, I’m here to carry some of that load with you. We’ll
work together to find healing, hope, and maybe a little laughter too.”

Couples (18+)

Fees: $235

Therapy Format: In-person or Virtual

Areas of Focus: Infidelity and Betrayal Recovery – Gottman Method, Discernment Counselling (Divorce Consideration), Accelerated Resolution Therapy for Betrayal, High Conflict, Co-Parenting Communication

At the heart of it all, I’m passionate about relationships — both the ones I’ve built in my own life and the ones I help others strengthen, repair and grow.

I’ve spent over 14 years working with individuals and couples, helping them navigate the tough
stuff and come out stronger on the other side. It’s not always easy, but seeing that growth and
connection happen? That’s what makes this work so rewarding. I know firsthand how hard it can be to find balance in life and within ourselves. I’ve had my share of messy moments with anxiety and dysregulation. But doing the work to become a more grounded, regulated partner and now mother has been nothing short of life-changing.

When I’m not in therapist mode, you’ll probably find me enjoying family time, baking, biking or
working out I’m also a sucker for 70’s music — nothing lifts my mood like more
than something from the guardian’s of the galaxy soundtrack. Speaking of, I am a total Marvel
buff. Love all Marvel movies, and you may even find Marvel analogies creep into my therapy
work. When I need a good laugh, it’s comedy all the way, New Girl, The Mindy Project, The
Office, Brooklyn 99, I would rewatch these over and over again. As for mindfulness and meditation? Let’s just say it’s a work in progress — but I’m learning to give myself grace along the way. And that’s the kind of thing I want to help you with too — finding balance, healing through the hard stuff, and learning to be gentle with yourself in the process.

How to tell if we are a good fit

Relationships are hard — even the strongest ones hit rough patches. Maybe you’re feeling
disconnected from your partner and wondering if you can ever get back to the closeness you
once had. Or maybe you’re reeling from the pain of infidelity or betrayal, trying to figure out
how to heal and whether trust can be rebuilt.

Sometimes it’s not just about the relationship — it’s about the emotional patterns you’ve been
stuck in for years. Feeling overwhelmed by big emotions, getting caught in the same fights over
and over, or wondering if it’s time to walk away — these moments can leave you feeling lost and
unsure of what to do next.

Here’s the truth: you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Healing isn’t a straight path — it’s
messy, emotional, and sometimes really hard. But you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. I’m
here to sit with you in the hard stuff, help you make sense of the mess, and create a path forward that actually feels right for you.

Individual, Couple Therapy (18+)

Fees: $220

Therapy Format: In-person or Virtual

Areas of Focus: Gottman Method couples therapy, relationships, trauma, grief and loss, pet grief, substance use and personal growth.

My passion lies in approaching therapeutic practice from a trauma-informed lens. I am also passionate about helping couples navigate trauma-related challenges. Whether it’s healing from past wounds or addressing recent distress, my goal is to provide evidence-based strategies to foster resilience and growth.

I believe that strong relationships are the cornerstone of well-being and recognize that endings can be as transformative as beginnings. My heart is in helping individuals and couples navigate the complex emotions of separation, substance use, divorce, and rebuilding their lives
When I’m not in therapist mode, you’ll probably find me on my Peloton (did I mention I’m Team Cody?), binge-watching Saturday Night Live and sitcoms like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Parks and Rec, or Step Brothers (it’s a classic). I’m also a total artsy soul – I love painting, and you’ll often catch me with a brush in my hand late into the night.

And, oh! I absolutely adore my sisters and their partners. We call ourselves the “Super 6,” and trust me, we are hilariously tight-knit. My sisters are my best friends, but it didn’t always start out that way. We’ve had to work at our bond over the years, but now we’ve got a team that can take on anything – and probably laugh the whole time while doing it!

I also have a serious love for music. Pop music is my jam because it’s just so uplifting. And here’s a little secret: I’ve got a soft spot for the Backstreet Boys. But shh, let’s keep that between us! 😉 Oh, and if you know and appreciate Chromeo, we’re definitely going to get along just fine!

I’m all about creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can dive deep into your challenges, but I promise we’ll keep it real and lighthearted too. If you’re looking for someone who gets it and also knows how to laugh, I’d love to work with you!”

Who I Work Best With

Maybe you’re in a relationship that feels disconnected, or you’re trying to recover from a breakup and figure out what comes next. Or maybe you’re carrying around old wounds from your past, unsure how to heal them.
Here’s the thing: you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’m here to help you make sense of the messiness and create a path forward that actually feels good for you.

I work best with people who:

  • Are feeling stuck in their relationship or struggling with communication
  • Are healing from past trauma or difficult life transitions
  • Are feeling overwhelmed by stress, grief, or big emotions
  • Are ready to explore what’s holding them back and make real changes

If you’re wondering whether you’re in good hands…

  • Trauma-Informed Therapy
  • Gottman Method Level 1 & 2
  • 15+ Years in the Mental Health Field
